Solid Myrtle Wood Desk
B&V
Crafts was challenged by a recent customer to build him a pair of desks that
would fit in his high-rise office. We discussed design concepts and finally came
up with partially skirted tables that were simple and contemporary. The other
requirement was for a spectacular wood. Everything from rare African Exotics to
other rare tropical hardwoods. These were ultimately rejected in favor of an
American wood that was not endangered but still would provide a stunning look.
After contacting a specialty sawyer in Tillamook we agreed on Oregon Myrtle
Wood. The desk both measure 54" x 36" and one is 26" high while the other is
24". We wish the picture did the wood justice. They truly need to be seen to be
appreciated. The finish was hand applied oiled/urethane with a final application
of paste wax. The desks are seen on the loading dock and we hope to get some
pictures from the client that show the desks in the
office.
Pedestal Bed with Drawers and
4 Drawer Dresser
This
was B&V Crafts first foray into children's furniture. The client wanted a
captains style bed and a four-drawer dresser to match. The bed is sized for a
double or full mattress and the dresser measures 54" x 32" x 24". The wood used
was alder with a red mahogany stain. We use a durable polyurethane topcoat for

Quarter Sawn Solid Oak Mission Hall
Table
This
custom Mission Hall Table measures 74" x 16" x 40". The distinctive grain pattern of quarter sawn white oak is
enhanced by a walnut stain and hand applied Danish Oil finish. The all solid wood
construction also sports an adjustable shelf. The drawers are dovetailed
and all joints sport mortise and tenons. Call for a quote
Oak Desks/Bookcases and
Kitchen Phone Table
This
project was became a close collaboration between the customers and B&V Crafts.
Starting with an idea and basic description of needs the project evolved into a
project that thrilled the clients and will provide their office needs for a long
time. Finished in a hand applied oil/urethane blend theses cabinets are

Cherry Hotel Podiums
During
the winter a local Hotel and Convention Center contacted us and asked if we
could provide four podium/lecterns made from a reddish wood. We took the
opportunity to show them what natural oiled cherry looks like after it has aged
for six months to a year and we were off and running. The podiums measure 48" x
25" x 22" and sport coasters, built-in power strip and light. B&V Crafts also
provided black quilted dust covers.
Cherry Great Room
Cabinets with Fireplace Mantle
The
project shown here was a truly inspired idea from one of our special clients.
She worked tirelessly on this concept and would not rest until it was
right. The proof is in the pudding. The cherry wall units shown are each over
65" in width and run up to a 9 foot ceiling. Solid cherry wood and
furniture grade cherry plywood construction show off glass shelves, a 48" LCD
TV, book and knick-knack collection. Cabinet lights, special trim and custom
made crown molding give an elegant look to these cabinets. The hand made, custom
fireplace mantle mirrors the rope and dentil molding from the cabinets. If you

Cherry Wine Storage and
TV/Stereo Cabinets
This
project was a very enjoyable collaboration between the customers and B&V Crafts.
Starting with simple sketches the units took shape and the result is stunning.
The wine section can hold over 100 bottles in the special wine coolers and the
upper cabinets can hold approximately 168 bottles. The connecting cabinets house
over 700 CDs and about 400 DVDs. All of the cabinets are topped with a solid 1"
cherry counter top. The wine units are 67" wide by 25" deep and all of the
storage units measure 44" by 25". Finished in a hand applied oil/urethane blend
theses cabinets are both beautiful and functional. Give us a call if you fancy

Solid Oak Banquet Seating and
Table
This
banquet and table were fabricated from solid white oak . The seating has two
pull out drawers built in and the table can tuck in to the seating area to make
more room in the kitchen. A natural polyurethane finish was
applied on all units. This was a special custom order. Other styles and seating
arrangements, as well as wood and finish options, are available. Call for a

Solid Quarter Sawn White Oak Kitchen and
Living Room Units
These
special order solid quarter sawn white oak units were designed by the customer
and ordered without cabinet tops. Granite was ordered upon delivery. Our client,
Mary VanDomelin provided a drawing and we did the rest under her direction. The
project came out beautiful for her kitchen redo and the living room unit
replaced an older built in that needed to be up graded. Other styles as well as wood and finish options are available. Call for a

Solid Walnut Hall Table
This
solid walnut hall table boasts a top that is 2 1/2" thick. The solid walnut
contrasts sharply with the solid maple legs cut in a very elegant curve. This
modern design was custom ordered for the existing legs. The table measures 48x18

Solid Wood Bedside Tables
Our
solid wood bedside tables are a special treat for those wanting elegance but are
on a strict budget. This Mission/Contemporary design comes with a drawer and
hardware and can be constructed from any type of wood the customer wishes.
Current designs measure 12" square and 16" square. The two shown are a 12"
square oak and a 16" square cherry. Prices can range from $250 for the 12"
simple oak to $360 fro the 16" cherry. Call for a quote for other woods and

Solid Maple End Table
This
pair of solid maple end tables sport a very modern design. Interior curves
coupled with thick maple planks gives these tables a modern cube like look.
Measuring 26" x 24" x 25", these tables will augment any modern design.
The style compliments the solid walnut book shelf and TV stand seen below and

Solid Quarter Sawn White Oak Mission Hall
Table and Window Seat
The
solid oak Mission Style Hall Table measures 60" x 15" x 40". The distinctive
grain pattern of quarter sawn white oak is further enhanced by a hand rubbed
oil/urethane finish. The all solid wood construction also sports an adjustable
shelf. The window seat measures 72" x 16" x 21" and was ordered to fit
below the living room window. The four chambers across the bottom are for wicker
basket storage. Both units sport antique brass Mission hardware. These units are
truly distinctive. Call for a quote.
Solid Walnut Modern Bookcase and TV Stand
The
dramatically curving lines of this modern bookcase lends elegance to any space
it may inhabit. Our customer had some very unique ideas for her bookcase and
also wanted a TV stand that would compliment the piece. What we ended up with is
both simple and elegant with a modern flair that adds drama to the room. The
bookcase measures 82" x 46"x 12" while the TV stand measures 50" x 24" x 16" and
has two shelves for each side. Both units are crafted from solid eastern walnut
and all of the he pieces are 1-1/4" thick. The finish is a hand applied
oil/urethane blend that is rubbed to a satin sheen with wax and steel wool. More
photos will be available after the customer decks out the units. We specialize
in working with the customer to provide them the exact piece they
desire.

Solid Walnut Stand Up Desk and Coffee Table
These
beautiful pieces sprung from the mind of our customer who wanted something
simple and elegant to go with two pieces of sand blasted glass. After discussing
his ideas, we crafted a solid walnut apron and leg system to support the tops.
He wanted quad tapered legs of nearly 3" square. The aprons measure 4" wide. The
standing desk is 56" x 30" x 44"d the coffee table measure 40" x 18" x 18". The
sandblasted tops round out the pieces. This is a perfect example of how we can
work with the client to realize their ideas. Give us call.
Solid Cherry Queen Bed
The
Bliss Bed is a solid cherry wood queen sized custom made bed which includes
headboard, footboard and rails. The headboard measures 60" high and features
custom turned finials and feet on a 31/2" square
leg post. The footboard measures 36" high with the same characteristics. The
rails are 10" high. Made entirely of eastern cherry and finished in a natural
oil and urethane satin topcoat, the Bliss
Bed will make a fine addition to any

The Schoen Collection
Solid Cherry Mission Desk
The
Schoen solid cherry Mission Style Desk measures 54"x30"x30". Crafted in the
classic Mission or Arts & Crafts style, this part of the Schoen Collection melds old world craftsmanship
with the timeless beauty of hand oiled cherry. Twin drawers with Stickley type
pulls make this desk an elegant addition to any office or library. This model is

Solid Cherry Mission Bookcase
The
Schoen solid cherry Mission Bookcase measures 60"x54"x14" and is crafted in the classic Mission or Arts & Crafts style.
This part of the Schoen Collection melds old world craftsmanship
with the timeless beauty of hand oiled cherry. Elements include Stickley door
pulls, walnut molding and an inlaid Oregon Walnut accent stripe to add an
elegant addition to any office or library. This model is also available in

Solid Cherry Mission Radiator
Cover
The
Schoen solid cherry Mission Radiator Cover measures 54"x10"x34" and is crafted
in the a cross between Mission and contemporary styles. This part of the
Schoen Collection was ordered for an older home to compliment a
Mission/Arts&Crafts office and to hide an unsightly steam radiator. This type of
item can be custom fitted to any size radiator in a variety of woods. Call for a

Solid Myrtle Wood Dining Table
Part
of the Veronica Collection, this small solid Myrtle Wood dining table solves the
problem of a small area dining room. Able to seat four comfortably this table
measures 50" x 32" x 29". The beautiful grain of Pacific Northwest Myrtle Wood
gives this simple straight leg, apron table an elegance that is hard to ignore.

Solid Oregon Juniper Wood
Bookcase
The
Cathrine is a solid Oregon Juniper Wood bookcase measuring 56" x 46" x 14". It
is built in a mission/contemporary style with pine shelves and back. The finish
is a oil/varathane hand rubbed top coat. Juniper is much like aromatic cedar in
looks. This bookcase sold for $695 and is available in a variety of woods and

Solid Oak Dresser and
Nightstand
The
Erin Set is a solid oak dresser and nightstand custom built for the a client
that wanted the pieces to match an existing nightstand and low dresser. The
dresser measures 55"x37"x20" and the nightstand measures 18"x16"x24". The items
were stained to match the existing pieces and a hand rubbed oil/urethane topcoat
was applied. The design is contemporary. The end table can be ordered in a
variety of woods and can be made with or without a drawer. The dresser is
also

Solid Walnut Work Desks
The
Denton solid walnut work tables were commissioned by a husband and wife team
requiring at home workspace for graphic design and professional photography. Not
wanting an off- the -rack type table, they opted for a custom made set
that would look more elegant yet serve the purpose. The tables measure 60" x
29"x 32" (higher than a normal table height) and feature solid 2 3/4" legs and
skirts, and a 3/4" solid top. Made from eastern walnut and finished in a hand
rubbed
oil/urethane
finish, the
Denton
tables are a welcome addition to any room. This style can be ordered in any
custom size and in any type of wood. It would be suitable for dining room or
kitchen. It would also make a great addition to a family room with a laminate

Solid Oregon Walnut Boot Bench
It
is hard to
ignore and harder still to describe the beauty of native Oregon Walnut. The wood
has a luster and depth eastern walnut can barely attain without extensive dyeing
and stain effects. This Nantucket style boot bench measures 38 inches log
by 13 inches wide with plenty of space underneath for boots. It also doubles as
additional seating when you need it. We can provide these benches in a wide

Hunt Board (Hallway Table)
The Michele Hunt Board is a solid, quarter-sawn oak hall table
(or sofa table) made in the traditional Mission style, using mortise a
nd
tenon construction, measuring 52"x16"x33" and featuring three
drawers. Stained with a amber color and finished with a hand rubbed varnish
urethane blend, the Michelle will make a handsome addition to any entryway or
behind a sofa as shown here. It is available in many different woods and stains.

Dinning Room Suite Solid Oak
The
Friends oak suite was fabricated from solid white oak and includes an
80"x34"x29" trestle style dining table, built-in banquet seating with white oak
top caps and seats, and two Nantucket benches. The seating was installed by the
customer with assistance from B&V Crafts. A natural polyurethane finish was
applied on all units. This was a special custom order. Other styles and seating
arrangements, as well as wood and finish options, are available. Call for a

Solid Walnut Kitchen Trestle
Table
The Even Kitchen Trestle Table is a solid walnut unit measuring
52"x39"x29". Constructed of solid eastern walnut and finished with a custom hand
rubbed finish this table complements any kitchen style. Reminiscent of the
Arts&Crafts style this table also has a slightly contemporary flair. Priced at
$1,400, the Even can be ordered in any wood and finish as well as

Solid Pine Bookcases
The
Christine is a solid pine bookcase measuring 80" x 55" x 25". Stained in a
custom color the unit features two lower cabinets wit
h
shelves for storage while providing ample book storage in the upper unit. Doors
and sides are raised panels and maple crown molding on the top and solid pine
bun feet round out the design. The doors use hidden Euro hinges with pewter
hardware in this model. The Christine can be ordered in any type of wood and

Occasional Tables
The
Jake is a solid, quarter sawn, red oak occasional table with an English oak
stain and hand rubbed finish. The design is contemporary but reminiscent of
mission and arts & crafts style. The tables measure 20"x17"x25" and can also be
used as a bedside table. Call us for other wood types and finishes.
Custom Shelves and Bookcases
The
Olivia is a solid knotty pine book self that is stained with a white pickling
type stain. It features solid pine bun feet and raised panel sides. The unit
measures 32"x17"23". The customer ordered this unit for their daughter's stereo
and CD collection and to also double as a place to store books. Other woods are also available such as
white oak, cherry, myrtle wood, alder and walnut. Call for a quote.
Footstools
This
footstool is part of the Jake collection. Crafted from quarter sawn solid red
oak and stained with an English Oak color, this unit measures 18" square and is
15" high. A blue vinyl, padded fabric finishes off this unit. The footstool can be ordered in a variety of woods and any fabric
the customer desires. Call for a quote.
Stereo Cabinet
The
Jake Stereo Cabinet was commissioned as an outboard to a large projection TV to
house the DVD player and sound system. Crafted from solid, quarter sawn red oak,
the unit can hold three or four electronic components and a drawer is
included
along the bottom to hold DVDs and VHS tapes. This unit is stained in English Oak
and finished with an oil/varathane hand rubbed top coat. It measures 24"x18"x36.
